On Social Media : blogging , micro-blogging to Medium

On #SocialMedia #blogging #microblogging ( #twitter ) and the fun of internet ! #blogspot #wordpress back to blogspot and now the most likeable “plain vanilla” theme of #Medium !

My journey from a dial-up connection of early internet days (for me 1995–6) , first email account to current 4g speed (5g in near future ) has gone through everything from the days of early Yahoo messenger and groups , “Orkut” , first gmail , the era of social media that moved from desktop to mobile , Twitter to Facebook to WA and now “de-addicting” from all these social media platforms and sticking on to LinkedIn (for professional reasons) .

In this journey the only platforms that I never tried are the matchmaking / dating apps , Snapchat , kik and Instagram. I hated WA from day 1 and never installed it until recently ( 2018 )only out of necessity for quick messaging and exchanging files on the go with co-workers and friends ( still hate those groups for disgusting incessant forwards )

I was one of the early fans of Twitter , since 2008–9 and enjoyed it more when the limit was 140 characters .. has lost that initial fun and charm now at 280. Blogging was one of the best features that I enjoyed on “Internet” since early times when I started using it. My current choice for blogging platform is Medium, for its “plain vanilla” theme , that gives a feel of writing a diary !
